We love using math activities with a puzzle or interactive element in our homeschool. And, coloring a fall hidden picture hundreds chart is a perfect puzzle activity featuring math.

I made a free pack of five hundreds chart hidden pictures with a fall theme for my kiddos. I’m hoping it helps us to ease into the beginning of our official school days. The pack includes hidden images of an apple, an apple tree, a pumpkin, Indian corn, and an owl sitting in a tree.

Hundreds Charts

A Hundreds chart is great for practice and review in skip counting, multiplication facts, and increasing number sense.

There are so many patterns to be found inside a hundreds chart, not just the hidden pictures I’ve added. Spending time coloring in the chart will give your child time exploring all the patterns prevalent in a hundreds chart.

As children see numbers in relation to others and see patterns forming within those numbers they increase their understanding of them.

Hundreds Chart Hidden Pictures

Adding the hidden picture element turns working with a hundreds chart into a puzzle.

Both of my kids are able to enjoy doing these, even though they’re 6 and 11. They only require your child to locate a number on the chart before coloring. It’s just basic number recognition, but still a fun hidden picture coloring activity for older kids. And, they’ll notice patterns in the image as they color sections in the different colors.

Whenever possible I try to create opportunities to teach once to both of my kids, regardless of their age difference. These hundreds chart hidden pictures are great if you’re homeschooling multi-ages.

Even really young learners can do them as long as they can match the numbers on the chart to the key on the bottom of the picture. Both of my kids can use this one activity even with their age gap. Which gives it extra points in my book.

Each picture has a color key at the bottom telling you which color to use when filling in each number. As your child fills in the numbers they will reveal the hidden picture. I also included keys that are already done so you have an idea of how it should look at the end.
