My love affair with strawberries began in my grandfather’s strawberry fields when I was just a little girl. He ran a pick-your-own strawberry farm for years and some of my earliest memories are full of sweet red strawberries!

So, when I came across this adorable strawberry counting clipart I couldn’t resist making these strawberry counting clip card printables. And, I know they’ll make counting and number recognition practice so much fun for your kiddos!

How to Use Strawberry Counting Clip Cards

Clip cards are a fun and easy way for kids to practice skills. And, they provide an interactive way for them to learn. These clip cards are perfect for preschool and kindergarten math centers because they can be done independently.

They are also great for fine motor practice as using clothespins is a fantastic way to practice fine motor control.

To use these cards:

Print & Cut – Print off the cards (We use this printer). I recommend using cardstock to print them out so they’re sturdy enough for clipping with clothespins. You could also laminate them to make them last even longer. And, then cut them out.

Set-Up – Set them out in your math center with a handful of clothespins.

Counting – Children will count the number of hearts on each strawberry. Each card contains one strawberry and three numbers for your child to choose from after counting.

Clipping – Then, they clip the correct number on the bottom of the card by clipping it with a clothespin.
