Are you tired Mama?

I can almost guarantee that someone today has already asked you where their socks are. The socks that you washed, folded and put in their drawer. When did we become keepers of the socks anyway?

Mamas are expected to be everywhere and have it all together. All the time. We have to juggle work, kids, marriage, housework, and still try to fit in time for ourselves.

Lately, I have been working hard on this blog, planning homeschooling activities, and NOT getting enough sleep. After everyone else is tucked in bed, I usually stay up late into the night to work when the house is quiet. It is productive. But, it comes at a price. It leaves me exhausted, thinking about all the things that keep mamas out of their beds and how I can get more sleep and still get it all done.

Whether you’re planning for homeschooling, running from one activity to the next with your kiddos, up in the night with babies, or life is just tiring you out in any of a thousand ways, finding a way to take a moment for yourself is vital.

But, that’s not easy to do. Cause let’s face it, we mamas have a lot on our plate. It’s hard to take care of ourselves when we’ve got so much to tackle and we’re putting everyone else first.

Stop and tell God about it, He wants to hear your voice.

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.”

And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” Psalm 27:8

10 Bible Verses about Strength & Rest for exhausted Mamas. Plus free printable page of verses.

Our strength comes from God. He will give us all we need to do his will. I have to remember if I’m doing things in my own strength I won’t make it very long. These verses are a quick check-in to make sure we’ve got our eyes on Jesus and aren’t bogged down in our days.

And, sometimes a nice long rest isn’t available to us, so we can give ourselves a moment to reboot through a verse that speaks God’s truths to us in the midst of our exhaustion.  I came up with a list of verses about strength and rest and of course, I made a printable list so I could share it with all of you.
