In the past, I have made I spy coloring pages featuring both spring and summer themes. I made them with my kiddos in mind and they continue to be a huge hit with not only my kids, but my readers and their kiddos as well!

So, I’m keeping them coming, starting with this new set of Christmas I Spy pages! I spy is such a great game for kids to play! It helps them practice so many skills in a fun and easy way, all while coloring.

And, with three levels of detail and difficulty, these pages should give all your kiddos a fun coloring challenge!

Coloring Your I Spy Christmas Pages

We love using colored pencils for I Spy pages because they seem to allow the most ease for coloring in small details. But, we also have recently fallen in love with using permanent markers for their bright bold colors. And as a result, have been including them in a lot of art and coloring projects this school year.

So, that’s what we used on these Christmas I Spy pages, and the results have been really good. Especially, when adding in some fine tip Sharpies for the really small stuff. And, a set of metallic Sharpies that allowed us to add in some silver and gold to our pages which is so festive and fun.

Our Favorite Coloring Supplies:

Sharpies – We have gotten several sets of Sharpies like this one that includes lots of different colors and provides a mix of fine and ultra-fine tips. This box includes metallic markers as well.

Bic Intensity Permanent Markers – We bought a big set like this one that includes: regular tip markers, fine tip markers, and a set of metallic markers. They are the markers pictured in the above image.

Crayola Coloring Tin –  This tin was my daughter’s choice and we were surprised by this set of pencils. They are gel colored pencils and color so well! The color is bright, heavy, and beautiful.

Prisma Color Tin – We purchased this tin for our son and as expected love the bright vibrant texture of these Prisma color pencils.

Printer – This is the printer we use to do all of our printing. And, I love it! It was pricey and wasn’t our first printer because I hesitated at the cost.

However, we bought this printer four years ago in 2016 and I have only had to replace the ink twice! And, I print A LOT. Almost daily, actually.

I highly recommend it if you’re currently buying a lot of printer ink.

Heavy Printer Paper – I suggest printing these on heavier than average paper.

The pages can take a while to complete and if your kids are anything like mine then these pages will be dragged from room to room and colored over many days. I printed ours on a heavy printer paper and it helps the pages stand up to the wear and tear.

I Spy Christmas Coloring Pages

There are three pages for this printable activity. I created each to get a little harder in difficulty with the pages having increasingly more and smaller items. My kids have a 4-year age gap, so I always try to make activities that they can do together. I also think that it makes these pages accessible to older kids, like my middle schooler, who might think of I Spy as a little kids activity. And, these pages are fun for mom to do as well!
